Frequently Asked Questions
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept bank wire only.
How do you calculate shipping cost?
We pass through our costs for shipping onto our customers. Unlike many bullion companies, we do not inflate shipping charges nor do we charge handling fees. The shipping costs for orders $1,000 or below is $6.95, and between $1,001 and $5,000 is $9.95.
Do you charge sales tax?
No, there is no sales tax charged on gold or silver bullion, except for certain shipments in the state of Ohio. Call for further details.
Do you report my transaction?
Our online bullion sales are exempt from sales tax; therefore, we are under no obligation to report individual transactions. When you sell your bullion, reporting capital gains to the applicable government authorities is your responsibility.
What is your shipping method?
Most products ship via USPS Registered mail, unless otherwise specified. Shipping times vary from 2-10 days depending on location and the speed of the US Postal Service. We offer expedited overnight shipping for an additional surcharge.
What happens if I do not receive my package?
Until you sign for your order, the package is our responsibility. For this reason, if your package arrives damaged or appears tampered with, DO NOT SIGN for it. Trusted Bullion wants ensure you receive exactly what you ordered, and in perfect condition. For your safety, please refrain from signing for packages that appear damaged or tampered with during transportation. If your package is lost, we will re-ship your order and file the complaint on our own behalf directly with the shipping company. To date, this has never happened.
How do I know if my bullion is authentic?
We work only with a handful of reputable multi-billion dollar wholesalers. For certain products, we work directly with the mint and/or refinery responsible for producing the coins and bars. You can rest assured that your bullion is well-regulated and well-inspected. Many of our products come with certificates of authenticity (particularly the gold bars). Nevertheless, for added security, some clients choose to open their package at a local coin shop to be inspected by a dealer. Since any of the 4,000 local US dealers offer a sales outlet for your bullion, their confirmation of authenticity is a reliable affirmation.
What is the expected wait time from the moment I order to the time you ship?
We try to process all shipments within 24-48 hours from the time of payment, depending on daily volumes. Unlike many companies, we only sell what is available to ship immediately.
How do I know when you have received my bank wire?
We will e-mail you a confirmation when your bank wire has cleared.
How do I know when my package has shipped?
We will e-mail you a shipping confirmation which will include tracking numbers for your shipment.
Do you purchase bullion?
We purchase bullion on a case by case basis. Please call us at 888-345-9126.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to over 180 countries worldwide via secured armored transport. As a registered partner of ViaMat International, we receive corporate shipping rates, enabling us to pass along significant savings to our customers.
What happens if I decide to cancel an order?
Once we have issued a confirmation number, all prices are locked-in and the buyer has entered into a binding agreement. It is not our intention to enter into buying and/or selling transactions, accepting the risks involved only to have orders subsequently cancelled. However, we realize rare situations happen where orders need to be cancelled. Should you elect to cancel and/or offset your order, you must do so during normal business hours of 8:30am – 11:30pm EST, Monday – Saturday. All cancellations are subject our market loss policy plus a $35.00 (USD) cancellation fee.
Market Loss Policy: Once we have issued a confirmation number, the price is locked in for you and the transaction may not be cancelled, but only offset at our current ask price. Any deficit between the price at which we sold to you and the offsetting purchase price and/or prices, is your responsibility only if your item(s) is cancelled or returned. That amount will be charged to you, plus a $35.00 cancellation fee. Any market gain on cancellations shall remain the property of Trusted Bullion.
What are your hours of operation?
Our normal business hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:30am to 11:30pm Eastern Standard Time. We are closed Sundays and major U.S. holidays.
